The Project aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals outlined in the 2030
Agenda.
Specifically:
● self-management of a food-related microproject;
● promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth;
● combat child malnutrition through the consumption of foods rich in animal protein
(eggs and chicken meat);
● foster economic self-sufficiency.
Guatemala is the Latin American country with the highest rate of child malnutrition.
The percentage of chronic child malnutrition reaches 80% in some of the most depressed
areas, such as the rural regions of the Chimaltenango department.
Since 2012, we have been operating in the municipality of Tecpán through the “AC’UALA”
Program, which includes the implementation of Food Integration Projects and microprojects
for economic autonomy.
